The lazy days of summer are nearly over so it’s time to get back into a work mindset (yeah, right).

Here are a few recent blog posts from around the call tracking world that should help get your brain back in gear.

  • RingRevenue (moreresponds to some challenges facing Pay-Per-Call publishers and advertisers. Yeah, I’m just as shocked as you are that there are cheats in the affiliate marketing business too! Of course, more accountable call tracking measures can help minimize the impact they have on legitimate affiliates.
  • Marchex Call Analytics (more) dropped a teaser for future features related to Call Mining. Sounds like a direct response to Mongoose Metrics‘ (morespeech recognition capabilities. Personally, I’d love to see more innovation and competition in this space. It’s an incredibly valuable service for marketers and potentially very lucrative for the vendors that can demonstrate that value.
  • Ifbyphone (more) and Basecamp collaboration software are enabling telecommuters to get more done in less time from home, according to a column by the Chicago Tribune’s business columnist Ann Meyer.
  • Looking for an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) vendor for your company’s call center? Check out Ifbyphone‘s list of “10 questions to ask your IVR provider” to avoid getting the run-around. #11: DO NOT hire this guy.
