It’s been a slow week for announcements. At least the comedians are having fun at advertisers’ expense.
- Century Interactive (more) and RingRevenue (more) predicted in eerily similar posts that Q4 2010 and 2011 will be a big year for pay-per-call advertisers (here and here). The bottom line: phone leads are inherently more qualified that online leads and advertisers minimize risk exposure by only paying for legitimate contacts.
- Mongoose Metrics (more) added multi-market tracking capabilities for franchised or multi-location businesses. Instead of renting redundant tracking numbers for each location and traffic source, MM uses dynamic numbers and web visitor geo-location to assign localized, session-level numbers to each location on the fly.
- In lighter news, Mitch Hedburg riffs on advertiser’s vanity phone numbers. Enjoy. (hat tip Ifbyphone)
